Washington, D.C. (March 7, 2024) | Rep. Barry Loudermilk (GA-11) issued a statement following the passing of the Laken Riley Act in the House of Representatives. The legislation, named after Laken Hope Riley, aims to address issues surrounding illegal immigrants committing theft-related offenses.

He expressed the sentiments of the community, stating, "Parents and communities across the state of Georgia are extremely shocked, heartbroken, and angry over the brutal murder of Laken Hope Riley. She would be alive today if the Biden Administration had secured the border and worked to restore law and order throughout our nation."
