Rep. Barry Loudermilk and the Georgia Republican Congressional Delegation have raised concerns about the current state of mail service delivery in Georgia, urging USPS Postmaster General Louis DeJoy to address significant delays and operational breakdowns. In a letter addressed to DeJoy, the lawmakers expressed frustrations felt by constituents due to mail delivery issues.

"As Members of the United States House of Representatives, we have received numerous calls from constituents frustrated with the abrupt delay in delivery and receipt of their mail," the lawmakers stated in their letter.

Rep. Loudermilk emphasized the importance of timely mail delivery for constituents, highlighting the impact on various essential needs such as paying bills, receiving paychecks, and accessing medications. He called for transparency and swift action from USPS to resolve the disruptions.

Rep. Austin Scott echoed the sentiments, stating, "It is past time for the USPS to fix their systemic issues and deliver the quality service that rural Georgians deserve and depend on."

Rep. Buddy Carter emphasized the necessity for a seamless mail system to ensure Georgians receive important items like prescriptions and paychecks without delays. He called for more transparency to prevent future disruptions.

Addressing the operational breakdowns, Rep. Drew Ferguson stressed the need for USPS to take action to ensure the integrity of its delivery operations and resolve service delays promptly.

Rep. Rick Allen highlighted the impact of recurring delivery interruptions on Georgia families and businesses, emphasizing the urgency of the situation and the need for immediate action from USPS.

Rep. Rich McCormick expressed deep concerns about the reliability of USPS mail delivery and called for action to restore faith in the Postal Service.
