Atlanta Dream guard Allisha Gray has been named the Kia WNBA Eastern Conference Player of the Month for August 2025, marking her third time receiving this honor in a single season. According to the WNBA, Gray is now the first guard in league history—across both conferences—to achieve this milestone.

Gray joins a group of notable players, including Lauren Jackson, Candace Parker, Sylvia Fowles, Maya Moore, Tina Charles, Elena Delle Donne, Jonquel Jones, Breanna Stewart, A’ja Wilson and Naphessa Collier as those who have won three monthly awards in one season. Her performance during August included averaging 19.4 points, 4.9 rebounds and 2.9 assists per game on 48.5 percent shooting while helping Atlanta secure a 9-3 record.

Her month featured several achievements: she surpassed 400 career three-pointers during a win at Washington—becoming only the 37th player in league history to do so—and earned her third Eastern Conference Player of the Week honor for the year. She also scored 27 points with four rebounds and three steals against Minnesota and set a new franchise record with her 37th double-digit scoring game in a single season. In addition, Gray broke another team record by surpassing Angel McCoughtry for most points scored in a single season during Atlanta’s win at Dallas.

The Atlanta Dream currently hold a record of 26-14 and have clinched a playoff spot while setting a new franchise mark with 24 wins in one season. With four games left before playoffs begin, Atlanta is tied for the No. 2 seed.

“Gray’s consistency and leadership have been central to Atlanta’s rise,” according to the team statement.

The Atlanta Dream was established in Atlanta in 2008 as the Southeast’s only WNBA franchise and plays home games at Gateway Center Arena @ College Park. The team has produced multiple WNBA All-Stars since its inception and made three finals appearances.
