Rep. Barry Loudermilk, a U.S. Congressman who has consistently secured re-election since 2016, recently addressed several issues on his social media account, including the passing of Rep. Doug LaMalfa, an attack on law enforcement, and proposed educational legislation in New York.
On January 6, 2026, Loudermilk commented on the death of a fellow congressman: “Rep. Doug LaMalfa was a dedicated public servant and a lifelong farmer. He was known for his strong conservative principles and his support for agriculture and rural issues. Doug was not only a colleague, but a patriot and a friend. His passing leaves a void in the halls of”.
The following day, he responded to news regarding violence against law enforcement officers: “I am grateful that these heroes are expected to recover after enduring this intentional act of violence. America has every right to enforce federal immigration law and attacks on our law enforcement cannot be tolerated.” (January 7, 2026).
On January 8, 2026, Loudermilk addressed proposed legislation in New York concerning school curricula: “A proposed bill in New York would require school children to be taught about the January 6 ‘insurrection’ at the Capitol, comparing it to the Holocaust and other tragic and horrifying events.
Not only is this morally indefensible, but it erodes the evils of the Holocaust and”.
Barry Loudermilk has represented Georgia’s congressional district through multiple election cycles. In recent years he defeated Antonio Daza in 2022 with over sixty percent of the vote; Katy Stamper in 2024 with nearly two-thirds support; Dana Barrett in 2020; Flynn Broady Jr. in 2018; and Don Wilson in 2016—all by substantial margins.
