Barry Loudermilk, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Georgia’s 11th district, has recently shared insights and opinions on various issues through social media posts. Loudermilk, who succeeded Phil Gingrey in 2015 and has an extensive background in both state and national politics, used his platform to discuss historical facts and legislative matters.

On July 2, 2025, Loudermilk reminded Americans of a significant historical detail regarding Independence Day celebrations. He noted that while July 4th is widely celebrated as Independence Day, “independence from Britain was officially declared on July 2, 1776.” “For more fun facts on the Declaration of Independence, click the link below” he added, directing followers to additional resources.

In a post dated July 3, 2025, Loudermilk emphasized the urgency of passing significant legislation known as the Big Beautiful Reconciliation bill. He stressed its importance for American families by stating: “If Congress doesn’t pass President Trump’s One Big Beautiful Bill, the average Georgia family will see a 24% higher tax bill next year.” He voiced his disapproval of this potential outcome.

Later that day on July 3rd, Loudermilk highlighted the potential impact on families if the proposed legislation fails to pass. He pointed out that “over 1.2 million Georgia families would see their Child Tax Credit cut in half” without it. The passage of this bill aims to expand existing tax credits to foster a more pro-family future in America.

Barry Loudermilk’s comments come amidst ongoing discussions about fiscal policies affecting American households. Born in Riverdale, Georgia in 1963 and currently residing in Cassville, he holds a BS from Wayland Baptist University since graduating in 1992.
