The following day, May 9, he extended his appreciation to those who support members of the armed forces. He wrote: “Thank you to all our military spouses. Barry Loudermilk has been serving in Congress since replacing Phil Gingrey in 2015. Prior to this role, he served in the Georgia House of Representatives from 2005 to 2011 and the Georgia Senate from 2011 to 2013. Born in Riverdale, Georgia in 1963, he now resides in Cassville and is an alumnus of Wayland Baptist University with a Bachelor of Science degree earned in 1992.
