Rep. Barry Loudermilk, who has represented Georgia’s 11th district in the U.S. Congress since 2015, recently posted a series of updates on social media highlighting fiscal and policy developments at the national level. The posts reflect his ongoing commentary on economic indicators and federal governance under the current administration.

On July 14, 2025, Rep. Loudermilk noted significant fiscal milestones for the United States: “For the first time in our history, the United States has amassed over $100 billion in tariff revenue in a fiscal year, along with a $27 billion budget surplus in June. While the work is not done, these are welcome signs that our country is thriving and the promise of @POTUS’ bold”.

The following day, July 15, he commented on a Supreme Court decision affecting federal education policy: ” The Supreme Court has ruled 6-3 that the Trump administration can continue to downsize the Department of Education. President Trump has promised to return education policy and authority to the states.”

Later on July 15, Rep. Loudermilk shared his perspective on recent economic trends under President Trump: “With @POTUS back, America continues to move forward into our Golden Age Inflation is cooling. Annualized rates are below last year’s pace, with core inflation at just 2.1% under President Trump. Core inflation has met or beat expectations every single month.”

Barry Loudermilk was born in Riverdale, Georgia in 1963 and currently resides in Cassville. He graduated from Wayland Baptist University with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1992 and previously served in both chambers of Georgia’s legislature as well as local party leadership before joining Congress.
