City of Adairsville issued the following announcement.
The Municipal Election for Adairsville City Council Post 3 & Post 4 will be held Tuesday, November 2nd, 2021.
The qualifying period is August 16th, 17th, & 18th in the City Clerk’s Office at Adairsville City Hall from 8:30 a.m. – 12 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. A Social Media post will be made closer to this time as well as the required announcement in the Daily Tribune News.
You are not required to wait until the qualifying period to announce your candidacy but must file a Declaration of Intention to Accept Campaign Contributions, with the City Clerk prior to accepting donations or making campaign expenditures. This will be forwarded to the Georgia Government Transparency and Campaign Finance Commission in accordance with Georgia Ethics Regulations.
There are additional forms that must be filed with the City Clerk, that will be provided to you during our initial meeting.
