Northside Hospital Cherokee issued the following announcement on August 31.
Northside is offering a community prostate cancer screening, at no cost, to measure men’s risk for developing the disease. It will take place Thursday, Sept. 16 from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at Northside Hospital Cancer Institute Radiation Oncology - Atlanta, 1000 Johnson Ferry Road NE, Atlanta, GA 30342.
Prostate specific antigen (PSA) blood tests will be available to men between 45 and 75, who have never had prostate cancer or a PSA blood test in the last 12 months. Qualified interpreters will be available free of charge.
Social distancing and COVID-19 safety measures will be practiced according to CDC guidelines.
