Rep. Barry Loudermilk, a U.S. Congressman representing Georgia's 11th district since 2015, has made several statements on social media regarding current political issues and historical celebrations. He replaced Phil Gingrey in Congress and has a history of service in the Georgia House of Representatives and Senate.

On December 11, 2024, Rep. Loudermilk criticized the J6 Select Committee led by Nancy Pelosi, stating that "Pelosi’s J6 Select Committee predetermined the conclusions of their report, and selectively disclosed evidence that supported their narrative." He further accused them of suppressing information exonerating former President Trump and called for accountability.

On December 13, 2024, he acknowledged the long-standing role of the U.S. National Guard in national security by tweeting "Since 1636, the U.S. National Guard has been instrumental in keeping our country safe and free." He expressed gratitude for their service as they celebrated their 388th anniversary.

Later that day, Rep. Loudermilk addressed federal employment practices via Twitter: "Our federal employment system should reward hard work, not poor performers." He mentioned his MERIT Act legislation aimed at holding bureaucrats accountable for poor performance.
