The 2026 NFL Scouting Combine concluded in Indianapolis, providing teams with another look at prospects ahead of the draft. On-field workouts are only one part of the evaluation process, but they offer a measure of each player’s athletic ability and can influence how teams set their draft boards.

Thirteen players were highlighted for their performances during the combine. Among wide receivers, Deion Burks from Oklahoma posted a 4.3-second 40-yard dash, ranking third among receivers, and led his group in both vertical jump (42.5 inches) and bench press (26 reps). Jeff Caldwell from Cincinnati had a 1.48-second split in the 10-yard dash, best among receivers, and his overall athletic score was second highest since 1987 for his position.

Monroe Freeling, an offensive tackle from Georgia, measured at 6 feet, 7 inches and weighed 315 pounds. He tied for the fourth-fastest time among linemen in the 40-yard dash (4.93 seconds) and had strong results in both broad and vertical jumps.

Quarterback Taylen Green from Arkansas ran a record-setting 4.36-second 40-yard dash and achieved top marks in vertical (43.5 inches) and broad jump (11 feet, 2 inches), which were all-time bests for quarterback prospects since 2003 according to ESPN Research.

Bryce Lance from North Dakota State recorded a 4.34-second time in the 40-yard dash and ranked high across several drills including the shuttle run and jumping events.

Kenyon Sadiq from Oregon ran the fastest ever recorded combine time for a tight end at 4.39 seconds in the 40-yard dash and also finished near the top of his group in other strength and agility tests.

Running back Mike Washington Jr., also from Arkansas, led all running backs with a 4.33-second time in the 40-yard dash while showing good size at six feet one inch tall and weighing 223 pounds.

On defense, David Bailey from Texas Tech was noted as one of the top edge prospects after running a second-best time among his group in the 40-yard dash (4.5 seconds).

Dani Dennis-Sutton of Penn State stood out with a leading broad jump (10 feet, 11 inches) among edge defenders along with strong showings in other drills.

Malachi Lawrence from UCF continued to build on his college career with fast times in sprints and high marks in jumping events.

Jacob Rodriguez of Texas Tech led linebackers in agility drills such as the three-cone drill while posting competitive sprint times.

Sonny Styles from Ohio State led all linebackers at this year’s combine with top results across multiple categories including a vertical jump that was best by an off-ball linebacker since at least 2003 per ESPN data.

Dillon Thieneman from Oregon matched expectations as an all-around safety prospect by ranking near or at the top of his position group across several events including bench press strength testing.
