Aug. 19: Community prostate cancer screening in Alpharetta

Northside Hospital Cherokee issued the following announcement on August 050

Northside is offering a community prostate cancer screening, at no cost, to measure men’s risk for developing the disease. It will take place Thursday, Aug. 19 from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at Northside Hospital Radiation Oncology - Preston Ridge, 3330 Preston Ridge Road, Suite 100, Alpharetta, GA 30005.

Prostate specific antigen (PSA) blood tests will be available to men between 45 and 75, who have never had prostate cancer or a PSA blood test in the last 12 months. Qualified interpreters will be available free of charge.

Social distancing and COVID-19 safety measures will be practiced according to CDC guidelines.
