AAHOA Lifetime Members Kiran C. Patel and Pallavi Patel Lead the Way in Entrepreneurship and Philanthropy

Philan

Asian American Hotel Owners Association (AAHOA) recently issued the following announcement.

AAHOA Lifetime Members Kiran C. Patel and Pallavi Patel are well-known philanthropists, entrepreneurs, and medical professionals within the Tampa Bay and Indian communities. The Patels met while they studied medicine in India and moved to the U.S. in 1976. Eventually, the couple moved to the Tampa Bay area in 1982 and have called Florida home ever since. Although they both have made a difference in the lives of many patients thanks to their medical careers, over the years the Patels expanded their scope to help others through their entrepreneurship and philanthropy initiatives. Gaining an interest in the hospitality industry, the couple has invested in hotels and resorts for nearly 20 years and became AAHOA Lifetime Members back in 2012. While the couple has experienced tremendous professional success, their work in the community has created some of their proudest moments. The Patels donated $80 million to help Nova Southeastern University advance health care in Florida and internationally, launched the University of South Florida’s Patel College of Global Sustainability, founded two Tampa Bay schools, poured humanitarian relief in India and Africa, and so much more. Dr. Kiran C. Patel and Dr. Pallavi Patel’s generosity is inspiring, and demonstrates the dedication our members have to work towards a better future.
