VIDEO: AAHOA's HerOwnership Conference & Retreat

AAHOA is proud to release a recap video from its inaugural HerOwnership Conference & Retreat that took place at the Radisson Hotel Cincinnati Riverfront on October 26 and 27. This event educated and promoted women who are interested in exploring hotel ownership. Attendees enjoyed two days of inspiring panels, unique content, and networking, including an unforgettable Riverboat Cruise on the Ohio River. AAHOA spoke to several of the women in attendance. Check out what they had to say about the event:

“The sky is not even the limit for AAHOA’s HerOwnership. We are going to change the [face] of hotel ownership,” AAHOA Female Director Eastern Division Lina Patel said. 

“We were very intentional in making sure we brought in thought-leaders and luminaries who come from diverse perspectives and diverse backgrounds, but yet, were women,” AAHOA Female Director Western Division Tejal Patel explained. 

“I was able to meet other women that were in the same field, facing similar issues that I was faced with,” AAHOA Central Midwest Regional Director Arti Patel shared. 

“It’s great to be around like-minded women who are powerful, who are innovators, and who are powerhouses. It’s just incredible,” HerOwnership Speaker and Hotel Owner Brandy Connor said. 

“There is development relations, there’s operational relations, and even how to get lending to be able to do [hotel ownership],” AAHOA Ambassador Jyoti Sarolia shared. 

“The momentum is huge. Thirty years ago, we never had the support,” AAHOA Ambassador Nancy “Nayana” Patel said. 

“Here I am today. I was able to accomplish my dream,” AAHOA Member Reena Patel shared. 

“My husband has developed and built many hotels. But I haven’t done one on my own. This event has encouraged me to do one on my own,” AAHOA Lifetime Member Tina Patel explained. 

“It’s important for women to connect with other women,” AAHOA Ambassador Mayuri Patel said.
