FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. — The Atlanta Falcons' digital media team is taking a break during the bye week, an initiative that started a few years ago. This includes the social, video, photo, and editorial teams.
Tori McElhaney explained the workload of the digital team during the offseason: "I often time get asked, 'Tori, what does your team do in the offseason?' Well, would you believe we are just as busy — if not busier — in the offseason as we are in the regular season."
Starting Wednesday at noon, all channels will go dark for the week. McElhaney noted this pause aims to ensure they return refreshed and ready for any potential season extension.
In response to questions from fans about various aspects of the team's performance:
Mike S. from Calgary asked about improvements in defense. Will McFadden found through TruMedia data that "the Falcons actually have the league's best yards-per-completion-allowed mark on defense." He added that despite recent performances, their secondary has been a strong point this year.
Nicholas W. from Rexburg expressed concerns over pass rush issues. McElhaney acknowledged these concerns and stated: "I truly think they have tried to find someone who can move the needle." She emphasized that addressing this issue remains a priority for future seasons.
Camereon W. from Snellville questioned whether the Falcons could recover after recent losses. McElhaney believes they can but stressed that adjustments must be made quickly: "These two weeks of losses are not the end-all-be-all for this Falcons team."
