The Atlanta Falcons have reportedly reached an agreement with cornerback Mike Ford, as reported by ESPN's Adam Schefter. The deal is said to be for two years and valued at $4 million.

This will be Ford's second tenure with the Falcons. He previously played for Atlanta in 2022, where he started in two of the 17 games he appeared in, recording 15 tackles, one tackle for a loss, and a quarterback hit. During that season, Darren Hall, Isaiah Oliver, and A.J. Terrell were the starting cornerbacks for the team. Ford was also notable on special teams, playing a team-high 361 snaps.

After his stint with the Falcons, Ford signed with the Cleveland Browns and spent two seasons there. Between 2023 and 2024, he participated in all but one game and made one start, accumulating a total of 41 tackles. In his first season with Cleveland, Ford secured his first career interception against quarterback Lamar Jackson during a Week 10 victory over the Baltimore Ravens.

Ford began his NFL career as an undrafted free agent when he was signed by the Detroit Lions in 2018. Over three seasons with Detroit, he started seven games out of 31 appearances and recorded 49 tackles along with four pass breakups.

In 2021, Ford joined the Denver Broncos where he played in 13 games before missing four due to a knee injury while on injured reserve.

Ford will now join a Falcons cornerback lineup that includes A.J. Terrell, Mike Hughes (who has reportedly re-signed), Natrone Brooks, Kevin King, and Clark Phillips III.
