Rep. Barry Loudermilk, who has represented Georgia's 11th Congressional District since succeeding Phil Gingrey in 2015, has been active on social media, posting several tweets addressing current events and political issues.

On April 15, 2025, Loudermilk acknowledged Tax Day by offering assistance to his constituents. He tweeted, "It's Tax Day. My District office is here to serve you if you need help with the IRS or any federal agency." His offer emphasized the role of his office in providing support for those experiencing difficulties with federal agencies.

Two days later, on April 17, 2025, Loudermilk conveyed a critical perspective of Democratic policies, questioning their priorities in a contentious tweet. He asked, "Democrats care more about illegal immigrants than American citizens?" This statement reflects his stance on immigration issues and the prioritization of policy concerns.

On the same day, he shared a historical reference related to border security, highlighting an action taken by Theodore Roosevelt. Loudermilk tweeted, "In 1907, President Theodore Roosevelt designated a 60-foot-wide stretch of our southern border 'as a protection against the smuggling of goods' from Mexico to America. 118 years later, @POTUS is utilizing part of this land to Make America Safe Again. Promises made, promises kept." This statement draws a parallel between past and current efforts to secure the U.S.-Mexico border, asserting that contemporary measures align with historical precedents.

Barry Loudermilk has been an active voice in Congress since 2015. Prior to his role in the U.S. Congress, Loudermilk served in the Georgia House of Representatives from 2005 to 2011, in the Georgia Senate from 2011 to 2013, and was a notable figure in the Bartow County Republican Party. Born in Riverdale, Georgia in 1963, he now resides in Cassville and holds a BS from Wayland Baptist University, obtained in 1992.
