Piedmont Cartersville is seeking individuals to join its volunteer program at the hospital. The volunteers are integral to the healthcare facility, providing support and improving the community's quality of life.
“At Piedmont, our mission is to make a positive difference in every life we touch,” stated Phoebe Stieber, Executive Director of Hospital Operations at Piedmont Cartersville. “Our volunteers are essential to achieving this mission, and their unwavering dedication makes a profound impact every day.”
Volunteers enhance the experience for patients, visitors, and staff, as well as assist nurses and physicians. There are two programs available: the Adult Volunteer Program for those 18 and older and the Teen Volunteer Program for younger individuals during summer. Various roles are available, with shifts from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. most days. Healthcare experience is not required; only a passion for helping others is needed.
“Many people have discovered a newfound desire to connect and contribute to their community,” added Stieber. “Becoming a hospital volunteer is a wonderful way to give back and make a meaningful difference.”
Those interested in volunteering can email Phoebe Stieber at phoebe.stieber@piedmont.org or call 470.490.2120.
