Alpharetta High School issued the following announcement.
Greetings Raider Parents of Rising 11th Grade Students:
I hope you are having a restful and rejuvenating summer with your families!
Please access the parent letter attached here from the Georgia Department of Public Health that explains in more detail the new requirement that effective July 1, 2021, all students entering or transferring into the 11th grade will need proof of a meningococcal booster (MCV4), unless their first dose was received on or after their 16th birthday.
I wanted to be certain all our Raider families with rising juniors had this information now so that you may make arrangements in July if necessary to get this immunization booster in time for your rising junior to start school in August.
All 11th graders will be required to submit proof of the meningococcal booster. Information regarding how to submit your proof of immunizations will be included in our summer mailer scheduled to go out the last week in July.
