Northside Hospital Cherokee recently issued the following announcement.
NGECC is an 89-bed rehabilitation center that bridges the gap between levels of care for patients who are well enough to leave the hospital, but not yet able to return home. The facility offers a comfortable environment with home-like patient rooms, a dining facility, and a full range of support services, including occupational therapy, physical therapy, nursing services, respiratory care and much more.
"Being a part of the Northside Hospital system enables us to have the support and resources to ensure that we have a safe, healthy environment, and that we provide above and beyond care for our residents," said Dennard.
"Northside Gwinnett Extended Care Center does not belong to us; it belongs to our residents, who allow us to come into their home every day," Dennard added. "We are so appreciative that they have put their trust and their health care in our hands."
According to U.S News, methodology for the 12th edition of the U.S. News Best Nursing Homes, released Nov. 9, includes an emphasis on facilities meeting certain standards of patient safety. Ratings combine comprehensive information about care, COVID-19 vaccination requirements for residents and staff, flu and pneumonia vaccination rates, and infection control violations listed on the resident safety summary.
