On November 20, 2024, Rep. Loudermilk expressed sentiments regarding a recent verdict involving Laken Hope Riley. He described her as "a special young lady – a gifted student, a talented athlete and the light of her family and community." Later that day, Loudermilk commented on the former January 6 Committee's actions. He stated that they are "not above accountability or immune from transparency for promoting false political narratives instead of conducting a genuine investigation."
