Rep. Barry Loudermilk of Georgia has been unanimously reelected to the House Republican Conference's Steering Committee for the 119th Congress. He will represent the Georgia/Alabama Region on this influential panel. Congressman-elect Brian Jack, also from Georgia, has been chosen to serve as the Freshman Class representative on the committee.

In a statement, Rep. Loudermilk emphasized the importance of bringing new ideas and reforms to improve life for Americans. "It is a very special time in America – a time to focus on bringing fresh ideas, effective reforms, and lasting change to improve the quality of life for every American," he stated. He expressed his honor at being reelected and congratulated Congressman-elect Jack on his election.

Loudermilk looks forward to working with his colleagues in the upcoming Congress to achieve legislative successes and ensure a prosperous future for the next generation. "As we head into the 119th Congress, I look forward to again rolling up my sleeves and working with my House Republican colleagues to deliver legislative wins for the American people, and to ensure the next generation lives in a nation that is free, safe, and full of opportunity," he said.

The Steering Committee plays a key role in setting House committee assignments and recommending committee chairs, shaping how the House Republican Conference functions.
