Alcovy High School recently issued the following announcement.
This Friday April 15 will be an odd day. Students will report to their 1st, 3rd, 5th, and 7th period classes. For Seniors that are currently enrolled in non-End of Course Edgenuity credit recovery class, the date of completion is May 6th, 2022. For Freshmen, Sophomores, and Juniors that are currently enrolled in non-End of Course Edgenuity credit recovery class, the date of completion is May 18, 2022.
As a reminder, students that are currently enrolled in Algebra I, Biology, American Literature, or US History will be required to complete the End of Course assessment for these courses. As an additional reminder the End of Course assessment is state administered and accounts for 20% of the grade in these courses. End of Course testing will start on April 18.
Any student that needs to pay for AP Testing please see Ms. Lambert in room F-3 to pay via cash or check.
The Light Up The Night Prom will be on Saturday April 23 at The Engine Room in Monroe. If you are planning to attend, please see Mrs. Mask and/or Ms. Sims to confirm that all documentation has been submitted.
The softball program will be holding workouts on Tuesdays and Thursdays at the softball field from 4:30 pm to 6:00 pm. For those that choose to stay after school, there will be strength training from 3:30 pm to 4:30 pm in the weight room before moving down to the field for workouts. Tryouts for the 2022 softball season will take place on May 10 and May 11 from 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm.
The varsity baseball team will play on Tuesday April 12 at Alcovy versus Grovetown at 5:00 pm and Friday April 15 at Grovetown at 4 pm and 6:30 pm.
The golf team will be in competition on Tuesday April 12 versus Eastside and Thursday April 14 versus Jackson and Luella.Continue to check the Alcovy website, Twitter feed, the Alcovy YouTube channel, your phone messages, and your email messages for updates and new information. Parents are also encouraged to check the grades and attendance of their student on Infinite Campus. At Alcovy we strive to provide families with the most accurate and up to date information.
