The majority of students in Bartow County School Districts were white in the 2022-23 school year, according to the Georgia Department of Education.

Among the 17,546 students attending Bartow County schools, 62.6% were white. Hispanic students were the second most common ethnicity, making up 18.5% of Bartow County student body.

In the previous school year, white students were also the most common ethnicity in Bartow County School Districts, representing 63.5% of the student body.

Cartersville City School District had the most even distribution of races among county school districts, which included 49% of white students, 23% of Hispanic students, 20% of African American students, and 2% of Asian students.

In the 2022-23 school year, the total number of students enrolled in school districts in the county increased 1.9% when compared to the previous year.

The main offices of all districts mentioned in the story are located in cities associated with Bartow County.

As of 2024, Georgia has an average student-to-teacher ratio of approximately 15:1, which is better than the national average of 16:1. The state has its best student-to-teacher ratio of 14:1 in pre-kindergarten and middle school grades, while high school has an average ratio of 17:1.
