Pickens County School District: 275 Hispanic students were enrolled in 2022-23 school year

There were 275 Hispanic students enrolled in Pickens County school district in the 2022-23 school year, 0.7% less than the previous year, according to the Georgia Department of Education.

Data showed that Pickens County school district welcomed 3,933 students during the 2022-23 school year. Among them, Hispanic students comprised 7% of the student body to be the second most represented ethnicity in the county's school district.

This is the only school district located within Pickens County, with its main office in Jasper.

As of 2024, Georgia has an average student-to-teacher ratio of approximately 15:1, which is better than the national average of 16:1. The state has its best student-to-teacher ratio of 14:1 in pre-kindergarten and middle school grades, while high school has an average ratio of 17:1.
